Today a British left wing politician made the classical anti-semitic statement about rich Jews voting for Capitalist parties:

It seems that various formulations of anti-semitism are alive and kicking, and used variously by neo-nazis; extreme left; anti-zonsit groups, Islamo-fascists etc.
Theodore Herzl thought that a Jewish state would end this hatred. But as a professor of mine once said, evil cannot be created or destroyed, but just converted from one form to another.
At least in Israel, the overall enmity has reduced, i.e. peace exists with Egypt and other moderate Arab states see Israel as an asset and not a threat. So perhaps Herzl did get it right, although it might be a very slow process.
